

Left to mourn are his wife Amie, his sons Channing and Ledger, his father Vincent Gary (Pauline) Russell, his sisters Tracey (Bruce) Ross and Tammy (Greg) Tocheniuk, his nephews Ethan, Quinn, Grayson, Preston, his aunt Gail (Gerald) Pitre, his uncle Bruce(Madelaine) Russell, his cousins Cheryl, Tanya, Donna, David, Vincent, Ellen.
Jason was pre-deceased by his mother, Lorraine Ancharuk, grandfather, Michael Ancharuk, grandmother, Zelda Ancharuk, grandmother, Winifred Russell, grandfather, Truman Russell and aunt, Peggy Jean Russell.
Born in Dalhousie on June 26, 1974, Jason grew up loving the game of hockey. He was a skilled goaltender and played local hockey until he moved away for work as a young adult.
Jason was known to be a hard worker, working for many years in the oil fields. He was highly respected by his friends and colleagues who often called him Papa Jake. Jason was a devoted father who believed his greatest achievement was his two children.
The Russell family asks that you hold Jason close in your mind, in your heart and in your spirit.
A celebration of life will be held at the Saint John Bosco Church on Tuesday July 17th at 11:00 am.
