Margaret Irene McLaughlin

Passed away at the Darlington Manor in Dalhousie, on January 24, 2015 at the age of 94, Margaret Irene McLaughlin of Dalhousie, wife of the late Oscar McLaughlin. Born in Jacquet River on September 1 , 1920, daughter of the late Wilfred Roy and the late Laura Doucet.

She leaves to mourn her daughter, Martha McLaughlin of Point-La-Nim; her sons, David McLaughlin (Christine) of Dalhousie and Douglas McLaughlin (Anne) of Charlo; her brothers, Alfred Roy of Bathurst, Stewart Roy of Point-La-Nim, Sheldon Roy of Ontario, Floyd Roy of Charlo and Danny Roy of Australia; her sisters, Helen Carrier of Dalhousie, Sophie of Charlo and Lausa of Jacquet River. She was also survived by her 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her step mother, Beatrice Duplessie; her sister, Agatha and her brother, Sambo.

The funeral mass will be held at St. John Bosco Church, Dalhousie, on Thursday at 11am.

Visitation at Maher’s Funeral Home, 421 Victoria Street, Dalhousie, Wednesday from 7pm to 9pm and Thursday from 9:30 am until time of funeral.

Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
