Alice Lee Smithson Morris

2011, at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Morris was born in Sullivan County, Tenn., daughter of the late William

Daniel and Katherine Stophel Smithson.

She was a retired bookkeeper for Morrison’s Cafeteria in Gastonia and a member

of Riverview Baptist Church in Lincolnton.

Mrs. Morris is survived by a son, William Wayne Allison and wife Janet of

Gastonia; two daughters Carolyn Frietch and husband William of Cincinnati, Ohio,

Ann Gholson and husband Doug of Dallas; eight grandchildren, Bill Frietch Jr.,

Mark Frietch, Kimberly Dickerman, Tonya Heaton, Doug Gholson Jr. Mandy Gholson,

Casey Allison, Anna Allison and eight great grandchildren.

Mrs. Morris was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joseph Alvie Morris; a

son Albert M. Allison; two brothers Charles Smithson, William Daniel Smithson

and a sister Edna Railey.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Dallas

Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Riverview Baptist Church 2337

Riverview Road, Lincolnton, with Pastor Rickey Brown officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
