Barbara Crisp Melton

Barbara was a beloved wife, sister, mother, Maw Maw, and friend. She spent forty devoted years working in various textile and manufacturing industries. Barbara enjoyed watching racing, basketball, and football, especially N.C. State and the Washington Redskins. She loved her yearly trips with her late husband, Roland, to the mountains and Daytona Beach.

Preceded in death by loving husband Roland Melton and brother, Clayton Groves.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Eric Melton (Jennifer); grandchildren, Hailey Hawkins (Jeffery) and Jake Melton; and great-granddaughter, Sophia Grace Hawkins; brother, Jeff Crisp (Tracy); brother-in-law, Cleveland Melton (Sondra); special cousin, Junior Woods, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Carothers Funeral Home, 212 West Trade Street, Dallas, NC 28034, followed by a celebration of life service at 3:00 PM.
