Bruce Aaron Costner, 55, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2013 after an extended illness. He was born February 21, 1958 to Thomas and Carolyn Cloninger Costner. Bruce was an avid motorcycle rider and took many cross country trips with his wife and also loved fishing. He was a heating and electrical contractor and a certified maintenance mechanic.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 28 years, Donna Costner of Lincolnton, NC; children, Aaron Brett Costner of Lincolnton, Adrienne Swinney (David) of Beulaville, NC; mother, Carolyn Costner of Gastonia; siblings, Wesley Costner (Gail) of Dallas, Shelia Wilkinson (Tom) of Dallas.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Costner, step-son, Daniel Abernathy and sister, Carol Ann Costner.

A funeral service will be held at 11a.m., Saturday, March 23 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Dallas. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Dallas Funeral Home, 212 W. Trade St, Dallas, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
