Grace was born on April 5, 1930, in Gaston County to the late Lonzo Adam Petty and the late Lillian Crews. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her 9 siblings, and her husband, James Madison Blanks.
She is survived by her daughter, Shelia Blanks; grandson, Tim Daniel and his wife, Kristy Keough Sladden; granddaughter, Kris Daniel; great grandchildren, Aeon Forsythe, Amaya Forsythe, Levi Fortner, Emma Sladden, Ethan Sladden, Landyn Deputy, Cross Daniel, Dillon Hafner; great grandchildren, Leo Forsythe and Luca Forsythe.
A gathering of friends and family will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 1:00 – 2:30 pm at Carothers Funeral Home Dallas, 212 W Trade St, Dallas, NC 28034. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
