Kimberly Ann (Mann) Grinsted, 54, went to be with her Lord on June 15, 2018, at the Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, after a sudden illness.
Kim graduated from Lincoln Southeast High School in 1982 and received her BS in Business from the University of Nebraska in 1987. There are no words. Grateful for Kim reaching out to me from Australia this morning with the news of her passing. The years dissolve over a cup of coffee with tear filled eyes as I reminisce of our time together. MTV was the new must have and she had it and we danced & dressed to our latest favorite. We were close, laughed and cried over boys we mistook for men... we were young with so much in front of us. This hurts as I'm certain we were to meet here again. She spoke of her daughter and sent videos of her playing guitar and singing... she wished for me to meet her. I wholeheartedly expected to meet her one day soon, perhaps when they were back in Florida as my sister and her family recently moved there...
I'm so very sorry for her family... as I am for all of us who hoped to see her again in this life. You leave us knowing it is as fleeting as it is beautiful... these days are not to be squandered... until we meet again I will do my best to live in the moment.
I'm certain we shall see each other in the next life... God is good.

I remember many phone conversations over the years with Kimberly. In every conversation Kimberly was always very kind and had such a willingness to learn and always willing to work on any type of project.
We talked about work mostly but at the end I asked about her family. Every time she gave me an update on Madison.
Through her words I knew Kimberly had a big smile on her face as she talked about what Madison was doing. She is very proud of Madison.
She would shared videos of Madison singing at various events. Through Kimberly I was able to get to know her beautiful daughter.
My prayers will continue to uplift Kimberly’s family for God’s love, peace, and comfort to surround them.

There are so many memories of our Kim. She knew how to bring out the best in all of us. When I think of her I cry for her leaving but rejoice as I know she is with our Father. She had such faith in Him. I know her eyes are seeing such wondrous things. I hope we all can find comfort in knowing we will see her again. Madison and Jonathon, no person ever loved you more. She is in your hearts forever. I know her arms reach down around you with God's Blessing. When you finally can, don't forget her laughter. She had the best laugh. She was thoughtful and generous. And she loved to make people happy. She especially wants you both to be happy. Don't forget to touch back to that part.
We love you!
