Lucinda Woody

Lucinda Elmore Woody, age 46, of Bessemer City, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was born in Mecklenburg County and was the daughter of William Lawrence Elmore of Stanley and the late Colleen O’Daniel Elmore.

Mrs. Woody was a graduate of the North Carolina School for the Deaf.

Mrs. Woody is survived by her husband, Thomas Daniel Woody; two sons, Kent Patrick Richland, Jr. and Shane Adam Richland of Vermont; her father, William Lawrence Elmore of Stanley; two sisters, Bonita Elmore and Kelly Elmore Rushford and husband Pat of Mt. Holly ; one brother, Marvin Elmore of Mt. Holly; one grandson, Miles Sidney Tallman Richland of Vermont; mother-in-law, Ruby Woody of Bessemer City.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 P. M. to 9:00 P. M. Monday at Dallas Funeral Home, 212 W. Trade Street, Dallas and the services and interment will be private and at a later date.

Mrs. Woody was preceded in death by her mother, Colleen O’Daniel Elmore; brother, John Elmore.
