Mary Faye Cloninger

She was born in Gaston County, NC on June 27th, 1935. She is a graduate of Belmont High School.

She was married to Roy "Leon" Cloninger in the fall of 1971.

Faye worked in the textile industry for many years. She worked for Genuine Parks as well as NAPA as a data analyst.

She was a member of Antioch Lutheran Church. Anyone that knew Faye knew she had a passion for life and could talk to anyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Nobel & Virginia Smith Goudelock. She was also preceded in death by her brothers & sisters; James, Lawrence, Thomas, & Clyde Goudelock; and sister Katharine Hicks of North Carolina.

She was survived by her loving husband of more than 50 years, Roy "Leon" Cloninger. She was also survived by her family; daughter Carol Cope of Mount Holly, and her children Neil Cope & Laura Cope Venters. She also had 4 great grandchildren ; Jackson & Maddie Cope, and Wyatt & Abby Venters.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Antioch Lutheran Church at 2 pm Wednesday, December 10, 2025. Visitation at 1pm with service following at 2 pm.
