Richard is survived by his wife, Laura Edison Crook of Dallas, NC; children, Richard Crook and wife, Randi of Mt. Holly, Lynn Lewis and husband, Terry of Mt. Holly, Kevin Crook and wife, Laura of Tulsa, OK; 2 step-children, Leslie Maples and husband, Cameron of Bessemer City and Nelson Moore of Dallas; grandchildren, Megan Crook and Conner Crook; brother, Roger Crook and wife Linda of Gastonia, sister, Cherry Rose.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Norma, Carolyn and Peggy.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Dallas Funeral Home, 212 West Trade St., Dallas, NC with Military Honors at 7:00 PM.
