Bob was born in Seneca County on March 31,1942. He was a graduate of Hopewell-Loudon High School Class of 1961 and served in the United States Air Force from 1962 through 1966.
Bob worked as a master carpenter in and around Tiffin for more than 50 years. He had a passion for woodworking, spending time with his son, and Sunday morning breakfasts with his buddies.
Bob is survived by his son, Todd (Keely) Nickel of Dallas, North Carolina, his granddaughters Calissa (Levi) and Macey (Tanner). He is also survived by his Sister Marge Reinhart of Genoa, Ohio, Brother Jack (Wanda) Nickel of Tiffin, Ohio, brother Dave (Nancy) Nickel of Orlando, Florida, and sister Nancy (Jeff) Bertram of St. Augustine, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Mildred “Mickey” Nickel.
