Shawn Dale Roderick, 54, of Dallas, NC passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday January 23, 2024. Shawn was a graduate of North Gaston High School, class of 1987. Shawn was a front row fan of the Dallas Cowboys. Shawn is the son of Carolyn and Roger Williamson and Gary L. and Geraldine Roderick.
Durene Roderick, his paternal grandmother, Henry Roderick, his paternal grandfather, Ruth Blundell, his maternal grandmother, Richard Bayless his maternal grandfather and a cousin, Jason Newton, precede Shawn in death.
In addition to his parents Shawn is survived by his daughter, Krista Roderick and his granddaughter, Kinsley Hoffman of Bessemer City, a sister, Sherry Perry of Charlotte, NC and two stepbrothers, Rick Williamson and Ron Williamson – both in Arizona, Brandon Roderick, his step-brother, in Mexico, and Haily Harrop, his step-sister of Utah.
A private family funeral is planned for 1:00 pm on Saturday February 10, 2024 at Long Creek Memorial Baptist Church, 210 Long Creek Church Road, Dallas, NC. Pastor Heath Honeycutt will officiate. Shawn will be laid to rest in the church’s cemetery immediately following the service.
