Ms. Adela Hernandez

Adela Hernandez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, passed to her eternal life, but she will live in our hearts forever. She was born on February 18, 1932 in Dallas, Texas and was called home to her Savior on November 4, 2015 at her home in Argyle, Texas. She is preceded in death by her sons, Rafael Hernandez, Jr. and Carmen Hernandez, sister Patricia Glover, brother, Frank Reyes and her Beloved husband of 63 years, Rafael Hernandez. She is survived by daughter, Mary Ann Broadhurst and son-in-law, John Aubie Broadhurst, grandchildren, Tonya Broadhurst Russell, Monica Broadhurst Armstrong, and Bridget Hernandez. Her pride and joy were her great grandchildren, Christian, Grayson, Faith, Eric, Lacy, Asanta and her precious great-great grandson, Landon. Sister, Geneva Hernandez and numerous nieces and nephews. Special niece, Judy Smith. Our loving thanks to each of you who cared for my Mom at Corinth Rehabilitation Suites on The Parkway, and thank you to her special friends. Our loving thanks to the nurses of Vitas Hospice who cared for Mom.

A light from our family is gone

A voice we loved is stilled

A place is vacant in the home

Which never can be filled

We have to mourn the loss of one

We Would've loved to keep

But God who surely loved her best

Has finally made her sleep

After a lifetime of her love and joy

And music to fill our ears.

God leaves these wondrous memories

To help us through our tears.
