

Adelaide Pauline Nelson Hart, at age 101, peacefully passed away with family at her side on Saturday March 3, 2018. She was born in Galveston, Texas on January 25, 1917, daughter of Alfred Nelson and Viola Thompson Nelson. She graduated Ball High School in Galveston in 1935. She later moved to Dallas in the Lakewood area community. She will forever be remembered for her love of family and friends. She was always thinking of others and willing to help in need. She worked as a long time employee of Gaston Episcopal Hospital Dallas as a switchboard operator and admitting clerk. When she retired, she volunteered for Baylor Rehab gift shop. She kept herself busy participating in the community as a den mother for Rainbow Girls, officer of West Brownsville Garden club, worthy matron of AC Garrett chapter #774 order of Eastern Star, volunteered as a sitter for friends in hardship, lifetime member of Lakewood Methodist Church Dallas. She is preceded by a sister, Ruby Edith Pansky, brothers, Alfred Charles and Billy Clifford Nelson, daughter, Jean Davis. She is survived by grandson, Jeffrey Baker and wife Cathy of Dallas, granddaughter, Dianne Davis of Carrollton, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends.
Services will be Saturday March 17, 2018 @ 1:00 pm at Lakewood Methodist Church Dallas 2443 Abrams Rd. Dallas Tx 75214. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers or donations can be made to the church
