Patrick, 21, was taken from us far too young. He went to be with our Lord and Savior April 11, 2022,
around 8:15 am on his way to class. Dallas native and spirited Texan, Aidan was born to Demian Patrick
Salmon and Michele Collins on April 5, 2001, in Dallas, TX.
Following in the footsteps of his parents as a proud Red Raider, Aidan was currently a Sophomore at
Texas Tech University, majoring in Political Science and dreamed of one day pursuing a career in Texas
Republican politics. He had recently started working for Chick-fil-A and was very proud and happy that he was making his own money being independent.
A graduate of JJ Pearce High School, class of 2020, Aidan was a strong swimmer and made Varsity all
four years and excelled at the backstroke. Swimming for both COR and the Mustangs he received many
medals of achievement. Also, singing and dancing brought Aidan joy and he performed in both Mama
Mia ,as well as Newsies at PHS and, even though not in starring roles, his family knows he stole the
show. Aidan loved to make people smile and laugh; his personality could light up a room. Whether the
topic was music, sports, history or politics, Aidan was always quick with an interesting statistic or story to
enliven the conversation.
Aidan is survived by his mother Michele Collins (Darren), father Demian Patrick Salmon (Nicki) and
sisters Rylie, 19, and Bridgette, 1; as well as maternal grandparents Michael and Dortha Collins, paternal
grandparents Zackie Salmon (Ann), Aunt Terri Tomanka (Ron); cousins Taylor Tomanka (Martin), Taryn
Hargrove (Hunter) and Turner Tomanka and Aunt Pati Salmon (Bob) and countless cousins and friends
who he considered to be his extended family.
Scottish Rite treated Aidan’s pseudarthrosis, a rare bone condition, as a child, so over the years he
continued to support the hospital and even served as a candy striper. In lieu of flowers, Aidan would have
loved for you to donate to Scottish Rite Hospital so another child can receive their unparalleled care and
treatment. (https://scottishriteforchildren.org in the comments section of your donation please add Aidan’s name)
Memorial Services will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at First Baptist Richardson, 1001 N.
Central Expwy. with a reception immediately following. In honor of his family’s love for Texas Tech University, guests are invited to wear hints of black and red.
Arrangements by Sparkman\Hillcrest Funeral Home ,7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas ,TX, 75225.
