Alice Bissic was born on September 20, 1923, in Lodi, TX to Raphiel and AV Justice. She was the 2nd oldest of 8 children. She grew up in Lodi and moved to Houston, TX where started her career in cooking. Later on in life Alice moved to Seattle, WA and married Tommie Bissic in 1967. The couple resided in Seattle for 40 years and moved to Dallas, TX in 2006.
Alice loved to cook and served as a cook for the State of Washington for over twenty years. She was a great cook in the kitchen, loved entertaining and had an immaculately clean home. She prepared the equivalent of a Thanksgiving meal when company visited the Bissic household. Alice was a faithful and loving member of her church. She enjoyed singing in the choir and served on the deaconess board. She was a loving grandmother who enjoyed spending the summer with her grandchildren. Alice was very kind and generous to everyone she met.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents: brothers Calvin Justice, Raphiel Justice Jr, Tarlee Justice; sisters Rosie Vance and Ollie Moore; sons, Samuel Perry and Tommy Perry. She leaves to cherish in her memory her husband of over 50 years, Tommie Bissic; sisters Dollie Beckton and Princett Williams; step-daughter Shirley Taylor (Jerry) and Alicia Bissic; daughter-in-law Mary Perry; granddaughters Latrina Perry, Stephanie Taylor, Sherry Taylor, Cassandra Young, Yolanda Stokes; nephew Glen Pierce; god-children Nathan and Rhonda Bradley and a host of great grand-children, cousins and friends.
