Alice K. Risi

Alice K. Risi was born in Paterson, New Jersey on October 7,1923 to Vincent Kragiel and Mary Oberhofsky. Alice entered into rest on August 12, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Early on, Alice had an interest in business related things, and found herself working in a secretarial pool close to her home in Connecticut. During her time there, she quickly worked her way up to Executive Secretary positions where she handled daily business for the vice presidents of companies like Perkin-Elmer. Her late husband, Vincent Risi was an entrepreneur who spent his time working on many different projects. From building and running a custom cabinet shop to developing property and operating a restaurant on the main highway of Newfane, Vermont, Alice still maintained her job in Connecticut, and provided a steady income for the family. After making a move to Texas in the early seventies, Alice started work for the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center as an Executive Secretary. She helped run a medical department for a neurosurgeon during that time until her retirement. Alice was and always will be highly regarded for organizing and running the departments of executives. She is deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all those whose heart she touched. Visitation will be held at Calvary Hill Funeral Home on Sunday, August 21st from 2-6 pm. Her graveside service will be held at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Desoto, Texas at 12 pm on Monday, August 22nd 2016.
