Alicia was born June 21, 1929 in Natalia, TX to Tomas and Alejandra Balderas.
As early as 10 years old, she worked in the cotton fields and later became a seamstress, where she learned to sew and make money doing alterations.
On May 22, 1951 in Cotulla Texas, she married Juan Zamora. They raised one son, John Thomas and seven daughters, Delia, Olga, Norma, Hope, Annamarie, Rosalinda and Yolanda.
She will be remembered for her charitable acts and donations in the Oak Cliff community and her passion of the Dallas Cowboys. She was also known for her Sunday menudo, Pan Dulce with Coffee conversations, word search books, football lotteries and comedic facial expressions.
