

On Monday September 5, 2016 Allen P. Gardner, 29, transitioned from his earthly tabernacle to his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior. Allen was born on April 19, 1987 to Angela Gladney and Allen Stokes, in Frankfurt, Germany. Allen was the oldest of four children. He received Christ and was baptized at an early age at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Radcliff, Kentucky. He graduated class of 2006 from David W. Carter High School. Allen was the jack of all trades and an All-star athlete. From choir, track, football, baseball, swimming and basketball. He was a truly talented individual. He was an anointed drummer and had a voice that could touch your soul. Allen was affectionately known as “King” or “AG”. He was a member for 13 years at Friendship West in Dallas, Texas under the leadership of Dr. Frederick D. Haynes, III, Senior Pastor. He was also a former member of The Potter’s House of Dallas under the leadership of Bishop Thomas Dexter Jakes, Sr. and Faith Deliverance Christian Center (26th Street) Norfolk, under the leadership of Bishop Barbara M. Amos. He leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories three sons; Jechori Gardner, Dillan Gardner and Allen Gardner, Jr., two daughters; Leilah Gardner and Eryn Gardner; a loving mother: Angela Gladney; father: Allen Stokes; two sisters: Antoinette Gardner and Janelle Stokes one brother; Julian Stokes, one nephew; Zion Hearvey and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins,, spiritual children and loving family and friends.
