He was born in Alice, Texas to Wesley and Marguerite Ray Weed on March 25, 1938. He only lived outside of Texas once, and that’s where he found Karen, with whom he just celebrated 50 years of marriage. He loved his family, the law, and Baylor University – and not necessarily in that order during football season. He had a brilliant mind, a sly sense of humor, and a laugh that could shake a room.
Survivors include his wife Karen Weed of Dallas; sons Greg, Brad, and Jeff; five grandchildren (all boys); and numerous nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Service will be on April 18, 2015 at 11 AM at Northway Christian Church, 7202 W. Northwest Hwy, Dallas, TX 75225. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in his name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.jdrf.org). Online condolences can be made at www.Sparkman-Hillcrest .com.
