Mickey Banks died on Wednesday, January 18, 2015 in Dallas, TX. She was 84. Mickey was born on March 8, 1930 in Wrightsville Beach, NC to her parents, Frank and Drurie Brown. She was the youngest of five children. After high school, Mickey moved to Raleigh, NC where she met and married Paul Kennon Banks, Jr. The Banks’ moved west, eventually setting in Memphis where they raised three sons: Ken, Ron and Drew. Mickey adored her boys and worked tirelessly to provide opportunities for them. She forged a career as an executive assistant at Malone and Hyde/AutoZone. She cherished her job and the wonderful friends she made there. Mickey is survived by her three sons, four grandsons and three great grandchildren. She will be entombed at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, Texas. A Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75225.
