Amelia Cruz Moreno

Amelia Cruz Moreno entered eternal rest on March 20, 2023 in Dallas, TX where she met Joaquin M Moreno. He lived next door and she didn’t even know until one day Amelia was outside when she heard a whistle as she was walking up the stairs at that moment they saw each other and fell in love and took each others breath away. From that moment on they knew they would always be together. Their love was strong for each other so much that they decided to elope and began their family. They were married for 73 years and were inseparable. As Our Mother became ill she resided with her daughter Adelita where she took her last breath and her first breath in heaven with her Daughter on her side and beloved husband Joaquin. She was born on August 7, 1936 in Edinburg, Tx to Juan and Eloisa Cruz. Amelia loved to crochet, sing, cook and most importantly loved her children and her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Amelia is preceded in death by her grandparents, parents and siblings, Eulogio Garza, Maria Soto, Juanita Cabrera and great granddaughter, Emily Cervantes. She is survived by her children and spouses, Juanita (Fred) Lakhani, Jaime (Ismenia) Moreno, Rita (Benito Sr.) Martinez, Marisela (Jose) Pena -Quintero, Laura (Dennis) Roach Jr., Adrian Moreno, Amelia Moreno (Rodolfo Lopez Sr.), Joaquin (Virginia) Moreno Jr., Adelita Torres and Mario (Leticia) Moreno; grandchildren, Laila Lakhani, Rocky Moreno, Genesis Moreno, Debbie (Jaime)Alvarado, Mario Moreno Jr., Carlos Moreno, Christina Moreno, Selena Moreno, Sabrina Moreno, Mario A.
