

Amparo Macias, 88 of Dallas, Texas left this earthly home on February 19, 2023. She was born April 24, 1934 to Juan Navarrete Guillen and Maria Gonzalez de Navarrete in Emiliano Zapata, Durango, Mexico.
She married the love of her life Gumercindo Macias in 1959 and they had 7 wonderful children together. She was a domestic keeper in Brownsville, TX for James Stillman and other prominent families in the Dallas area for many years.
In her free time Amparo enjoyed, reading the bible and Christian books, and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with her family, friends, and anyone she met. Her greatest joy was to see her children together and spend time with her grandchildren.
Amparo’s family will always keep her in their hearts and remember her as a virtuous woman who loved God, family, friends, and strangers. She left a legacy and example of a Christ-like life to many starting with her children
Amparo was preceded in death by her parents, Juan Navarrete and Maria Gonzalez de Navarrete, beloved husband, Gumercindo Macias; daughter, Berta Alicia Fajardo; brothers, Manuel Navarrete I, Manuel Navarrete II, Victor Navarrete, Alfredo Navarrete; sisters, Consuelo Garcia, Esperanza Navarrete; grandchildren, Isaac Scott and Elizabeth Villarreal
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Patty Morels and husband Santos, Eleazar Macias and wife Rosario, Gumercindo Macias Jr. and wife Hilda, Noe Macias and wife Angelica, Maria Short and husband Jason, Xochilt Scott and husband Monte, Jesse Macias and wife Veronica; grandchildren, Carmen, Susy, Laura, Hugo, Leonardo, Annel, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Israel, Eleazar Jr., Daniel, Andrea, Samuel, Annette, Lauren, Jonathan, David, Christian, Joshua, Jessica, Alexandria, Miranda, Liam, Vivian, Jazmin, Alejandro, Leonardo; over 20 great grandchildren; more than 10 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Socorro Esquivel, Berta Garcia, Hortencia Rodriguez, Javier Navarrete, Teresa Humada, Rocio Velasquez, Laura Gonzalez, Claudia Rodriguez; and more than 30 nieces and nephews
A visitation for Amparo will be held Friday, February 24, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Bethany Baptist Church, 7300 Bruton Rd. #1, Dallas, TX 75217. A committal service will occur Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at Grove Hill Memorial Park, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A funeral service will occur Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, 7300 Bruton Rd. #1, Dallas, TX 75217.
