Amy Katherine Tucker

Amy Katherine Bobo Tucker left this life Sunday morning, Aug. 19, 2012 to join the heavenly host of God’s angels. She bravely fought the battle with cancer for 3 years. Amy was born in Dallas on March 8, 1970 to Carroll & Mollie Bobo. She was educated at Lindale ISD, Tyler Junior College & North Texas University earning her BA degree. Amy was a retail manager with Sanger Harris-Foley’s-Macy’s for more than 25 years. The joy of her career was her job as Director of Pre-School Ministries at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church, Dallas where she was a member. She was a founding member of the Rebekkahs, a Bible study group for young mothers.

Amy is survived by husband, Jeff Tucker, daughters Emma Rose & Katherine Leigh of Dallas; parents, Carroll & Mollie Bobo of Lindale; mother-in-law, Kathy Tucker; grandmother, Nell Bobo of Tyler; aunts, Bettie Clancy of Tyler, Denise Bobo Connolly of Plano and a host of cousins and special friends. She was preceded in death by baby daughter Grace; grandfather, Carroll H. Bobo; grandmother, Mollie Wallace and grandfather, James C. Estes.

A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at the Lovers Lane United Methodist Church. Interment will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Chandler Memorial Cemetery in Chandler, Texas.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Amy’s memory to Wesley Prep, 9200 Inwood Road, Dallas, TX 75220.
