

Anderson Wallace Jr. (Andy) September 1939 - July 2010 Resident of Dallas, Texas. After a courageous 2.5 year battle with cancer, Andy passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side. Andy was born in Cleveland, Ohio and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in Alexandra, Virginia. He went on to become an accomplished attorney earning his BA, JD, and LLM from the George Washington University. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas, U.S. Ct. Claims, U.S. Tax Ct., U.S. Ct. Appeals (5th cir.), U.S. Supreme Ct., and U.S. Ct Appeals (11th cir.) . Andy was a Program mgmt. asst. NASA, Washington 1962-64; atty. U.S. Dept Treasury, Washington 1964-66; tax atty. Price Waterhouse & Co., Atlanta, 1966-67; tax ptnr. Jackson, Walker, Winstead, Cantwell & Miller, Dallas, 1967-84; dir. in charge tax dept. Baker, Mills & Glast, P.C., Dallas, 1984-98; pres. Anderson Wallace, P.C., Attys., Dallas, 1993-2010., Inst. Sch. Law So. Meth. U. Trustee S.W. Mus. Sci. and Tech., Dallas, 1974-2010, Girls Found. Dallas Inc.; chmn. Inst. On Employee Benefits, Southwestern Found., 1976. and was a member of the ABA. He was one of four children born to the late Anderson and Agatha Wallace and was the beloved husband of Kristine Wallace for almost 8 years. Andy will forever be remembered by his devoted brothers Grant and Ralph Wallace, beloved children Trey and Whitney Jean Wallace, step daughter Nicole Belcher, and treasured grandchildren Brooke and Deven Wallace, along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know him. Andy loved flying, scuba diving, astronomy, ham radio, being with his family, and having barbeque on Sunday with his friends Jeff, Dave, and Paul. Andy touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained a positive attitude all the way to the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 4:00 p.m.at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Hwy. Chapel.
