

Andrea D. Flores passed away Sunday, February 13, 2011 in Dallas, Texas. Andrea was born November 2, 1933 in Duval County, TX to Mateo & Rosa (Gutierrez) Delos Santos. She was employed by City Florist and Irving Florist for several years. She was also co-owner of Butterflies and Flowers for 6 years. Mother was a floral designer and one of the best. Andrea was dedicated to her family and grandchildren. She loved to crochet and play bingo. She was a character of her own. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mateo and Rosa Delos Santos and husband Armando “Mando” Flores, Jr. She is survived by her four children, Arnold Flores and wife Mary Lou of Grand Saline, TX, Arnulfo Flores of Leesburg, VA, Armilda F. Salazar and husband Martin Salazar and Arthur Flores of Irving; sisters, Lola Ramirez of Kingsville, TX and Mary Estrada and husband Ernie of Tucson, AZ; brothers, Gilbert Delos Santos and wife Emma of Tucson, AZ, Ruperto Delos Santos and wife Inez of Laredo, TX. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Erin A. Flores-Gomez, Tiffany Dawn Flores, Lina Elisa Salazar, Marcos Gabriel Salazar and Michael Pierce; 14 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Friday, February 18, 2011 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 am Saturday, February 19, 2011 in the North Mausoleum Chapel at Calvary Hill Cemetery. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park in Irving, TX. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Billy Flores, Eliud Alexander Merkich, Adrian Chris Segovia, Pete Gomez, George Ellis Gilmore, Jr. and great-grandson, Andrew Flores. Honorary pallbearer will be grandson Abraham Flores who will lead the procession of her casket to her final resting place. Together forever with her husband.
