“For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing”. II Timothy 4: 6-8
June 25, 1934 was no ordinary day for Eugene and Emma Lee Bradley. For on this date, God blessed them with a baby boy whom they proudly named Andrew Bradley; they affectionately called "Dan Baby,” full of life; anyone that knew him; knew Dan never met a stranger.
Dan gave his life to Christ and was baptized at an early age at his family’s home church; Antioch Church of Christ in Midway, Texas. He later moved to Dallas, Texas and became employed by Cathy & Carroll Trucking company. He ventured out to become a successful entrepreneur. Learning from his father, Dan possessed a strong work ethic and a strong will to never give up and to succeed at all costs. Those attributes were passed on to his children. He successfully owned and operated Bradley Trucking Service for over 40 years; contracted under Statewide Trucking Company until he retired.
Spiritually, Dan loved serving the Lord. While in Dallas he became a member of Garza Avenue Church of Christ and later placed his membership with North Glenn Heights Church of Christ; where he faithfully served until his home going.
Dan was welcomed into his eternal home of Glory, Tuesday, January 31, 2023. He was welcomed by his parents, Eugene and Emma Lee Bradley; two brothers, Eugene Bradley (MJ) and Osby Bradley (Bell); two daughters, Delores Johnson and Stephanie Bradley (Niecy).
Dan loved his family very much and he leaves to celebrate his home-going two siblings, Ossie Mae Robinson of Houston, TX and Bobby Bradley of Dallas, TX; sister-in-law, Velma Bradley of Houston, TX; nine children, Andrew Bradley, Jr. of Houston, TX , Kenneth Bradley of Houston, TX , Karen Washington (Arthur) of Fresno, TX, Shelia Bradley of Dallas, TX, Shawn Bronson (Tina) of Commerce, TX, Gina Bradley of Red Oak, TX, Katrina Bradley of Desoto, TX, Eric Bradley of Dallas, TX, Jason Bradley of Desoto, TX, approximately 22 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
