Ann was born on January 19, 1928, near Temple, Texas, to Jerry and Otilie Dana. She married Alfred Repka on February 6, 1946, and together they built a family-centered life during their 68 years of marriage. They were blessed with two children, Gary and Susan.
After attending business school, Ann began her career as a secretary and administrative assistant. She worked for many years before retiring from Volvo White Trucks.
Ann was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church DeSoto in DeSoto, Texas. Her faith, family, and opportunities to care for others were important parts of her life.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Ann expressed her love through countless practical and creative acts. She was a talented cook and baker who also enjoyed sewing, quilting, and other handwork. Caring for her family and friends brought her great joy.
Ann was a proud and loving grandmother to Bethany Massey (Steven), Meredith Downs (David), Shannon Repka, Jenny Rickner (Bo), and Nicholas Pollard (Mallory). She was equally proud of her great-grandchildren: Ryan, Quinn, Will, Nate, Presley, Grayson, Hailey, and Julia.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Pollard and her husband, Bob; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Repka; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and other family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, and her son Gary Repka.
The family extends its heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Legacy Oaks and Hospice Plus, as well as Ann’s caregiver, Anna Ngoti, for the kindness, compassion, and devoted care they provided during the final months of her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made in Ann’s memory to the Dementia Society of America online at www.DementiaSociety.org/donate
