

Ann Richardson, born December 4, 1936 in San Diego, California passed away peacefully after a year long valiant battle with cancer on February 4, 2012 in Frisco, Texas at the age of 75. She spent the majority of her life in Southern California, including Fullerton, California where she raised her children. After a 30 year career in real estate she moved to La Quinta, California for a few years before ultimately moving to Frisco, Texas. Ann is blessed with and survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Bill Richardson of Frisco, Texas. She is also survived by her 101 year old mother, Suzanne Haupert of Celina, Texas; son Dr. Steve Richardson and his wife Laura Dean-Richardson of Fullerton, California; son Stewart Richardson and his wife Mindy Richardson of Elk Grove, California; daughter Sera Hall and her husband Bill Hall of Dallas, Texas; Granchildren Amanda Richardson, Michael Richardson, Heidi Hall, Heather Hall, Harrison Hall, Corry Richardson, and Ian Richardson. Ann was an avid seamstress and knitter. She especially found joy in being a member of and teacher of THE NAUGHTY KNITTER'S of Frisco Lakes. She took great joy in the fact that all her children and grandchildren enjoy her passsion for cooking. Ann loved to travel and one of her favorite trips was in 1959 when she and Bill were the first couple to drive a compact car the full 800 mile length of Baja California, Mexico with NO paved roads. This led to their lifelong love of Mexico where they own a vacaion house and have numerous dear friends who share their passion for Baja. Most recently Ann reveled in the fact that her doctors told her that she probably should not make Christmas travel plans. Being the strong willed person and fighter she was, she immediately booked and confirmed a lifelong dream to take her entire family to Costa Rica. This trip will be treasured and remembered by her children and granchildren for the rest of their lives. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to her friends for their loving support over the past year. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday February 8, 2012 at Sparkman-Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
