Ann Cook McCoy Scales, a devoted servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, born December 22, 1917 in Atoka, Oklahoma to I.L. and Mabel Cook, departed this life to be with the Lord June 6, 2011 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee H. McCoy and is survived by her daughter Nancy McCoy Philputt, her son-in-law Frederick C. Philputt, her grandchildren Jenna (and Carl) Bovermann and Robert (and Dianne) Enas, and five great granddaughters: Nicole, Sarah and Emily Ann Enas and Abbie and Grace Ann Bovermann. She is survived also by her niece Carolyn Cook Orner, and by the family of her second husband, the late Dr. Robert S. Scales. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 10 at 1:00 pm at Chapel East of Sparkman Hillcrest Mausoleum, the Reverend Judy Frizzell officiating; then a private family interment will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas. The family requests that expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers be made to Park Cities Baptist Church Fund for Global Missions, 3933 Northwest Parkway, Dallas 75225. The family expresses its sincere gratitude to the staff and companions of Caruth Haven Court and to the personnel of Hospice Plus all of whom showed great care to Ann in her final months.
