Anthony F. Piranio a lifelong resident of Dallas, Texas passed away on May 26, 2012. He was born on December 15, 1918 to Joseph T. Piranio and Lena LaRocca Piranio. He served with the United States Army from 1941-1945 as a medic in the Philippines. He married Katherine Angelo on November 28, 1946. Mr. Piranio received certification in Real Estate Appraisal from SMU and was owner-operator of Piranio Real Estate Investments (1946), A.F. Piranio Construction Company (1948), Partner in Piranio & Piranio Investments (1950), and Dal-Tex Builders Inc. (1955-57). He was co-owner of PiLi Farms (1962) and was a cattle rancher and an avid hunter. In 1990, Mr. Piranio pursued an interest in computers and financial investing.
Mr. Piranio enjoyed playing piano, clarinet, and bass clarinet. He belonged to International Clarinet Association.
Preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mr. Piranio is survived by his daughters; Lynn, Dana and Gina, grandchildren; Nicholas and Natalie; relatives and friends.
Private services were held this past Tuesday.
