

Antonio Torres Barraza, age 77 of Dallas formally of Camargo, Chihuahua, passed away on Friday January 10, 2025, at home in Plano, TX surrounded by his family. He was born on June 13, 1947, in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Jose and Guadalupe (Torres) Barraza Torres. Antonio was raised in Camargo where he attended the Instituto Amado Nuevo and later moved to the United States at the age of 20. Antonio worked for over 30 years in maintenance for the Hilton Hotel chain where he later retired.
He is survived by his children Guadalupe Barraza of Plano, TX, Victor and Dylana Barraza of Royce City, TX, David Barraza of Garland, TX , and Miguel Angel Barraza of Garland, TX; grandchildren Lucas Balentin Barraza, Eva & Kevin Vogel, Diego Santana Barraza, Sophia Isabella Barraza, Gloria Guadalupe Serrato, Delio Emiliano Serrato, Matthew Luis Salgado, and Anna Marie Salgado. Antonio was also blessed to have enjoyed three great-grandchildren Siobhan Minerva Vogel, Joseph Rogelio Vogel, and Jade Julianna Lawson.
In his spare time Antonio enjoyed spending time with friends and family and most importantly watching and attending Texas Rangers baseball. Although he was a Dallas Mavericks fan, Cowboys fan, Chivas soccer fan, it was baseball that held that special place in his heart. He wore Texas Ranger’s gear every day in his later years. Family and friends will always remember his smile, his love for music, and his flare on the dance floor. Antonio loved to dance. He is preceded in death by his son Jose Antonio Barraza, his parents Jose and Guadalupe (Torres) Barraza Torres, and all twelve of his siblings.
