

He is survived by his wife, Geneva Holland Cause of Grand Saline, daughters Leah Fox of Grand Saline and Linda Cause of Mesquite, son David Cause of Dallas, and sister, Frankie McKinne also of Mesquite. He was blessed with two grandsons – Andrew and Aaron Cause of Mesquite whom he loved dearlyalong with several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Eula Gilley Cause and sister, Edith Williams.
Armand was a World War II veteran serving in the 242nd Rainbow Infantry Division of the US Army in the European campaign. These band of soldiers were involved in battles across France, Germany and Austria including the liberation of the Dachau concentration camp and the surrender of Munich, Germany, in April, 1945. Armand served as a machine gun operator and a cook for the battalion.
During leave from the war in the spring of 1946 his cousin, Bennie Liles, introduced him to a schoolmate, Geneva Holland.
A whirlwind romance began during this short leave home, and they were married less than a month after his discharge from the Army on September 26, 1946. This past September, they celebrated their 66th Wedding Anniversary!
Armand served as a deacon at the Hawn Freeway Church of Christ in Dallas and most recently was a member at the Fruitvale Church of Christ until the time of his death.
