He proudly enlisted to represent his country as a serviceman in the United States Army. He was a Private First Class and served in Operation Enduring Freedom. Operation Enduring Freedom was the title used by the United States to refer to the Global War on Terrorism in response to the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
In his spare time, Armando enjoyed reading books related to the many religions of the world, going to church every Sunday, traveling to each of the fifty states to meet people along with spending as much time as possible with his mother.
His family and friends will always remember him as being kind, generous and willing to give his last dollar to a stranger in need. He especially cared about the homeless and wanted their lives to be improved. He will also be remembered for always calling home to check on his family to ensure things were going well for them.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Epifano Ramirez; grandmother, Maria Ramirez; and his uncle, Epifanio Ramirez. He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Esther Oranday; brother, Christopher Oranday; sister, Jerriann Oranday; niece, Lexie Hernandez; grandmother, Victoria Comacho Lopez; along with many loved uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews which all reside in Dallas, Texas.
