Arnold Eugene Burgess, age 82, passed away on October 6, 2020 in Dallas, Texas. He was born March 5, 1938 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lester Arnold Burgess and Elizabeth Mae Burgess. Arnold was raised in Collinsville, Oklahoma and serviced in the United States Army PUT E-3 for 3 years. He married Zadie Ann Culver in 1970 and the couple had one son. Arnold was a parts inspector at Dallas Airmotive where he worked for 40 years. In his spare time Arnold enjoyed dinner and a movie with his son and grandson, reading his bible, going to the gym and morning coffee watching the sunrise with his dog, Mickey. His family and friends will remember him as a loving father, a loyal husband and a kind and gentle friend.

Arnold is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Elizabeth; brothers, David and Richard; sister, Beverly Burgess Cale; wife, Zadie Ann and stepson, Loyd Pryor. He is survived by his son, David Burgess; stepson, Doyle Pryor; grandchildren, April Hull, Crystal Pryor, Amber Eiland, Loyd Lee Burgess and several great-grandchildren.

A visitation for Arnold will be held Monday, October 12, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home. The funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM with interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.

Arnold shared many stories and laughs with me. He was always there to listen or give advice when asked for. Never said a bad word about anyone and would praise when he spoke. He was close to his family and very supportive.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
