Authurine Gallup Chastain, of Mesquite, Texas passed away on November 20, 2013 at 90 years of age. She was born at Terrell, Texas on December 31, 1922. She was married to Wilburn Mitchell Chastain in June of 1938 for 57 years. Mr. Chastain passed away in 1995. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Francis Chastain and son, Charles Wayne Chastain. She is survived by a daughter, Glenda Chastain Rupprath and spouse Thomas Rupprath of Rockwall, TX; grandchildren: Steven Wayne Skinner and spouse Danielle; Lisa Carol Cook and spouse John, Michael Alan Skinner and spouse Misti, Joan Gail Smegner and spouse Steven, Richard Lynn Chastain and spouse Melody and Mark Wayne Chastain; great-grandchildren: Chase Mitchell Skinner, Cody Michael Skinner, John Russell Cook, Collin Ryan Cook, Jordan MacKenzie Skinner, Zoey Lauren Skinner and Colby Michael Skinner; great, great-grandchildren, Riley Skinner & Emma Jane Skinner and sister, Ora Lynn Adams and spouse Claude of Terrell, Texas. Arthurine was also survived by lifelong friend and companion for the past 20 years, Mr. Eugene Ballard of Mesquite, TX and numerous other family and friends.
