It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Asa (Ace) James Strong. Beloved husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and treasured great-grandfather. He passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2024 surrounded by the family he loved so dearly.

Born on August 16th, 1930 in Goshen, New York. He was the son of Asa and Margaret Strong. He graduated from Mt. St. Mary’s College in Maryland and NYU in New York, He also served in the US Army. Ace was a noble man of his word whose unwavering integrity and kind spirit touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him. For over 70 years he was the devoted husband of Nancy Strong sharing a bond of love and partnership that served as a beacon of strength and inspiration to all who knew him.

Together they raised five sons who were the pride and joy of his life. As a grandfather to twelve and a great-grandfather to six, Ace was the heart and rock of the family, creating countless cherished memories with his endless love and wisdom.

Ace enjoyed a long and distinguished career as a financial executive. Ace and Nancy own Strong Travel Services, a Premier Luxury Travel Agency in Dallas, Texas. Fifty years ago, when it was uncommon for men to defer to women in professional places, Ace empowered and encouraged his wife Nancy to take the lead in running it. His progressive mindset allowed her to shine and demonstrated a forward thinking approach to partnership and equality. His dedication and commitment were hallmarks of his professional and personal life.

He will be remembered as a man of great character and strength, whose legacy will live on in the lives of his family.

He leaves behind a family who will forever carry his love in their heart, his wife Nancy, his sons Asa and wife Mary, John and wife Anne, Jim and wife Kay, George and wife Linda, Bill and wife Mary Helen. His grandchildren Justin and wife Yanli, Asa, Connor and wife Branka, Brianne and husband James, Tia, Rodney and wife Inna, James and wife Abby, Jennifer, Alyssa and husband Josh, Lindsay and husband Ray, Alexis, William and great-grandchildren Ashton, Luca, Alex, Mila, Wyatt, Angela and many extended family and friends.

Rest in peace, Ace. Your light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who love you.
