Asunción Daniel Torres, Jr., 47, of Dallas, TX, lovingly known as Danny, departed from this world on July 7, 2026 with his loved ones by his side. Danny was born in Dallas on August 18, 1978, to Asunción Torres, Sr. and Lydia Lira Torres. He graduated from Sunset High School and completed some college at Mountain View Dallas College.
Danny spent over 3 decades doing what he loved as a cheer coach and auto-body mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters, being outdoors, going to car shows, and any activities that involved eating or music.
Danny is preceded in death by his mother, Lydia Lira Torres.
Danny is survived by his daughters, Ashlen Bowen and Anissa Torres; father, Asunción Torres, Sr.; brother, Joe Torres; sisters, Michelle Carlile and Christal Maguregui; and many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Danny’s funeral service will be held at 9:00 am on Friday, July 24, 2026 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Father Michael Guadagnoli officiating. Committal will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery at 10:00 am. Flowers and contributions in Danny’s memory may be sent to Calvary Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery at 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
