

Atress Randolph Nubin, 77, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2016 of pneumonia related complications, with his family and long-time friends at his side. Atress "At" was born October 5, 1938 in Archer, Florida to Elsie and James Nubin. He attended grammar school and graduated from Archer Community High School, gaining life-long friends, who still speak of him with affection. He joined the Army in December 1961 and served his country for two years overseas in A-Co. 54th Engineering BN, Wildflecken, Germany. Upon being honorably discharged in November 1963, he attended college at Northern University in DeKalb, Illinois; where at a college function holiday a friend would introduce him to Linteena Moore. After marriage, while building a family, Atress enjoyed different careers in his life, that of being a plastics maker, insurance salesman, and independent trucker. Atress retired from his working life as a security guard with the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. Atress was a kind and loving husband to his wife and father to his children and a doting "AhPa" to his granddaughter. His winning smile and warm personality endeared him to family and friends. he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching pro football and baseball. He is preceded in death his father James Nubin, mother Elsie Nubin, brothers Joe L. Nubin, Clifford Nubin and Theron Nubin, sisters Mary Alice Freeman and Geraldine Debrow. Atress leaves cherished memories to his wife of 50 years Linteena Nubin; sons Clifford "Randy" Nubin of Ft. Pierce, Florida, Michael Nubin and Jeffrey Nubin of Dallas, Texas; daughter Janet Nubin Moore, son-in-law Marcus Moore, granddaughter Gabrielle all of Trophy Club, Texas; sister Mazie Lee Street and brother Murial Nubin both of Archer, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews and many sorrowing friends.
