It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our mother Audrey Joan Durante who left our world on March 11, 2026, at the age of 91. While she endured the loss of her soulmate Michael Joseph Durante on February 6, 2002, we find peace knowing she is now reunited with him in heaven above.
Audrey was born September 30, 1934, in Brooklyn New York to Mildred and Anton Orgonas.
She grew up with 2 siblings Andre Orgonas and is preceded in death by Robert Organas.
She is survived by her 3 children Dr. Thomas John Durante PhD, Gregory James Durante, and Andrea Janel Cassata. She was the proud grandmother of 4 grandchildren, Adam, Andrew, Alexis, and Srader.
Audrey was a devoted pre-school teacher for 25 years and adored caring for the children and watching them grow into adults over the years.
Audrey was known for her kind heart, her generosity and her bright smile that would light up any room. She was an absolute pillar of strength and dedication to her family and those that knew her.
Funeral services will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
