Avis Jean Wiener, age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 2nd, 2019, at Faith Comfort Care Home in Richardson, TX. She was born November 12, 1928, in Dallas, to Eva and Joseph Apoy. She was a graduate of Forrest High School in Dallas. She married Ludwig David Wiener on January 20th, 1950, in Dallas. She earned an associate’s degree from SMU. Avis enjoyed socializing with friends and playing card games. Avis was fortunate to have two doctors in her life: Her husband, L.D., had a doctorate in chemical engineering and her daughter, Sharon, is a practicing doctor of medicine . . . both of which she was very proud. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Wiener, and two granddaughters, Maddie and Jennie. Avis was laid to rest to join her husband, L.D., at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Sunday, August 4th.
