Born on August 14, 1954, in Dallas, TX to Joseph and Mildred Simoneaux. Barbara graduated from North Mesquite High School in 1972 and went on to have a career in accounting. Barbara lived a life defined by her Christian faith, extraordinary warmth, quiet generosity, and an unwavering love to her family.
She married Michael Hubbard on May 25, 1974.They shared 52 years of marriage together. As a proud mother to her son, Jeffrey, she offered gentle guidance, unwavering support, and a love that knew no bounds. Her heart grew even larger when she became a grandmother to Malachi and Trinity. To them, she was a source of encouragement, legendary hugs, and cherished memories that will be held close for a lifetime.
Barbara possessed a rare, big-hearted warmth that naturally drew people to her. For her family, life was made special not by grand occasions, but by the everyday moments spent in her presence—the simple comfort of sitting together, sharing stories, exchanging quiet laughter, and knowing you were loved. Whether through a thoughtful gesture, or simply listening with open arms, her warmth left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Michael Hubbard; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Lisa Hubbard; her precious grandchildren, Malachi and Trinity Hubbard; several nieces and nephews, along with great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Mildred Simoneaux; her father and mother-in-law Charlie and Iva Dean Hubbard; her sisters Marilynn Simoneaux and Karen Talent; and her brother Roger Simoneaux.
Visitation will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228, US, on September 3, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location on September 3, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
