Barbara Autumn Miller

She was born in Dallas, Texas on May 22, 1935.

Barbara graduated from Sunset High School in 1953. She was married to Karl Edward Hormann Jr. in 1958 in Dallas, and they remained married until his death in 1977.

Barbara worked alongside her son, Karl Edward Hormann III, at his optometry office, See-N-Focus Optical in Houston, from its opening in 1985 until his death in 2018.

Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and had a gift for making people laugh, delighting everyone she met with her quick wit and a well-timed joke. She was a woman of sharp intelligence, playful humor, and spirited charm.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband, Karl Edward Hormann Jr.; her son, Karl Edward Hormann III; and her brothers, Robert James and Gene Sarazen.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Hormann; her daughter-in-law, Becky Hormann; and her two grandchildren, Alex Hormann and Rachel Hormann.

Funeral arrangements will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, May 29th, at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd Dallas, TX 75228 with visitation to being at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
