Barnett Clayton Henry, 97, of Irving, TX died at Las Colinas Medical Center on Monday, April 8, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He will always be remembered as a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all that knew and loved him.
He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on October 17, 1915 to the late James Henry and May (Potts) Henry. He was a dedicated sheet metal worker by trade and was a plant foreman for Proctor & Gamble for many years. He took pride in being a strong leader and supporter of his family and was always involved in many church activities, making sure his wife and son put God first in their lives and were focused on their faith.
Survivors include his only child, a son, Thomas Barnett Henry and his wife Debra; brother-in-law, William Wolfgram and his wife Helen; sister-in-law, Norene Keenen; grandchildren, Tom Henry Jr. and his wife Yolanda, Jeffrey Henry, Alexander Henry and Ellecea (Elle) Henry; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Henry Jr., Thomas Henry III (Tre), Tyler Henry and Tawney Henry; and nieces & nephews, Kathy Masters, Mark Henry, Mike Henry, Teresa Acklin, Matthew Henry and Richard Henry. He was preceded in death by his beautiful bride, Irma Lillian Henry and his only brother, Ellsworth Henry.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Fellowship Church, Grapevine, 2450 N Hwy 121, Grapevine, TX 76051. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, April 12, 2013 at Fellowship Church, Grapevine.
