Barry Amram Papermaster

Papermaster, Barry A., beloved husband and father, passed away on April 2, 2018. Barry was born February 9, 1954, to Dorothy Feldman Papermaster and Dr. Theodore Papermaster, in St. Louis Park, MN. He graduated from Yale University (1976), BSEE in Laser Physics, Stanford University (1977), MSEE in Laser Physics, and University of Chicago (1981), MBA in Finance.

Barry enjoyed a long and rewarding career in technology sales and marketing, which began and ended in the semiconductor industry, including positions at Mostek, InteCom, Action Honeywell, International Power Machines, Avo International, Lucent Technologies Power Systems, Emerson Energy Systems, Invensys Lambda Power and Texas Instruments HPA Power Marketing Semiconductor Group.

A lifelong runner, Barry ran track for his alma mater, Yale University, and belonged to multiple running clubs in the Dallas area, routinely taking home medals and trophies in 5K events. He had a lifelong interest in sports and fitness that included running, downhill sking, kayaking and working out.

Barry married Cheryl Buckles on April 5,1987, and they celebrated 31 years of marriage. Barry was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Theodore Papermaster. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Buckles, children Benjamin, Ariel and Zachary Papermaster; mother, Dorothy Papermaster, sister Dr. Gail Bender Satz (Dr. Mark Satz) and nephews Brian Bender (Leah Solo), Dr. David Bender, Seth Bender, and Herschel Bender; sister Linda Papermaster Gat (Nahum Gat) and nieces Aviva Gat (Ori Koskas) and Ilana Gat (Chris HolmesParker).

Barry was a long time member of Congregation Shearith Israel, who will be conducting funeral services on Thursday, April 5, 2018, at 1:00pm at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, 75225. (214) 363-5401
