On Monday, January 7th, our beloved Deacon Benito has gone tonight to the Eternal House, the Celestial Homeland, to meet his beloved wife Amelia, at the age of 73 years. Benito was born on March 21, 1945 in Laguna Sanchez, Nuevo Leon, moving his family being the newborn to the Independencia neighborhood in the city of Monterrey. He lived happily married to his wife Amelia, who died of stomach cancer on March 18, 2010. They are survived by six children, two men and four women, 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He enjoyed dancing and wearing denim, as well as watching Baseball, American Football and Soccer games, being a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Tigers of U.A.N.L.

Benito began his love relationship with God in a Cursillo de Cristiandad in 1980, and was named Spiritual Director of the Cursillo Center in 2016. He was ordained Deacon by Bishop Graham on January 18, 1997 in the Cathedral, where he served with love and dedication for 21 years.

There are countless teachings, anecdotes, joys, homilies, advice and experiences that he has left us and which will always be part of the great legacy of love and service of Deacon Benito García, the friend and servant of all.

May the Lord grant him eternal rest, and shine for him the perpetual light.

May he rest in peace, amen.
