Benjamin “Junior” Price was born on December 26, 2007, at Methodist Charlton Medical Center in Dallas, Texas — the best Christmas gift his family could have hoped for. The beloved son of Benjamin Omari Price and Pepper Ellis, Junior was the third Benjamin in a proud family line, named for his father and grandfather, and beloved by both. He departed this life on May 5, 2026, at the tender age of eighteen — far too soon, far too young, leaving a hole in the world the shape of his enormous, generous heart.
Junior was raised in DeSoto, Texas, the second of his father’s children and at the heart of a large, devoted, blended family who cherished him from the moment he arrived. He was a beloved older brother, a treasured grandson, a devoted nephew, and the cousin who made every family gathering feel complete.
Junior was especially close to his grandmother, Alice Ann Price, who shaped him in ways he carried into every room he walked into. Nana was the first person to accept Junior exactly as he was, and the time they spent together was some of the most sacred of his young life.
Junior attended Life School Red Oak and DeSoto West Junior High before entering DeSoto High School, where he was a member of the Class of 2026. He was preparing to graduate alongside the friends who knew him best, with his sights set on Dallas College in the coming year. He was deciding between training as a Pharmacy Technician, a Radiologic Technologist, or a Medical Sonographer — drawn to a future in healthcare because Junior wanted to spend his life helping people. At DeSoto, he found a trusted confidante in his beloved counselor, Ms. Creda Perryman.
Junior had style. His hair was always done — he loved doing his hair and he could put together a fit that nobody else could pull off.
Junior leaves to cherish his memory his devoted parents, Benjamin Omari Price and Pepper Ellis; his loving stepmother, Brittany Alonso; his cherished caretaker, Aeriole Sanford; his grandparents, Benjamin C. Price and Sandra Overshown, and his late grandmother, Alice Ann Price, who awaited him in heaven; his beloved siblings, Madison Price, Kaiden Price, Jayvion Williams, Ja’onna Williams, Jayleaun Brown, Shamaria Turner, Braylon Nash, Madison White, Miyah Edwards, Mariyah Edwards, Mason Edwards, and Halo Blacknell; his loving aunt and uncle, Mandy Price and her husband Bennie King, of Dallas, and Jeffrey Price and his wife Serena, of Cedar Hill; his treasured cousins, Caleb King, Caitlin King, Prince Price, Malcom Price, and Mercury Price; and a host of additional aunts, uncles, cousins, classmates, chosen family, and friends — all of whom carried him in every moment of his life, and who carry him still.
Preceded in Death By Grandmother Alice Ann Price
“Well done, beloved son. Rest now in the arms of your grandmother, and in the love of every soul you touched.”
