Bernabe Rodriguez Jr.

Bernabe was raised in Kingsville, Texas and graduated from University of Central Texas in 1994. He proudly served in the military as a U.S. Army Command, Sgt. Major (CSM) with twenty-four years of service. He had six children and was a probation officer and educator at Central Texas and Oakcliff.

In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening and spending time with family. His family and friends will always remember him as a caring and giving person to brother and grandfather; especially in times of need.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernabe Rodriguez Sr., Carmen Garcia Rodriguez, sisters, Amelia and Aurora.

He is survived by his children, Cynthia Rodriguez Munoz, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Bernabe Rodriguez III, Sonja Rodriguez, Audelia Maria Rodgers, Heriberto Rodriguez and numerous grandchildren and great- children. He is also survived by Maria A. Ochoa to whom he was married for 64 years; brother, Reynaldo Rodriguez and sisters, Gloria Neviens and Carmen Trevino.

A visitation for Bernabe will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A rosary will occur Monday, October 28, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A mass of christian burial will occur Tuesday, October 29, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 1537 Rogers Ave, Lancaster, TX 75134. An interment will occur Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Chamberlain Cemetery Inc, 735 W Caesar Ave, Kingsville, TX 78363.
