I am so, so, so sorry to hear about Bernadette. 

I knew her cheerful soul because Emily was in Ms. Proffet's class at Lipscomb. Bernadette and I were the soccer mom's at field trips. I have the field day video (05/20/10) where Emily and my Caleb are jumping and Bernadette is in the background cheering the kids on. I would love to get that to you (the family). I admired her strong will, her positive attitude, her outlook on life and how blessed she always told me she was. I always told her, "you don't need to be chaperoning, you need to be a teacher!" She had those kids in line and they all loved her. I will miss her.

Be patient enough to live one day at a time as Jesus taught us, letting yesterday go and leaving tomorrow until it arrives.

Instead of fearing death, look it in the face and recognize it for what it is - a friend that has come to release us from the bondage of the flesh

Bernadette has been released and is at peace. 

Your hearts are heavy and filled with pain right now but you must remember that "Life is eternal. Love is immortal and Death is only an horizon, and an horizon is only the limit of our sight."

Trust in and stand on God's word - He will never leave or forsake you. I am in continual prayer for you.

I first met Bernie when she started working at Baylor...we both worked for the same office. She was always happy and had the best smile. I remember little things about Bernie...like how she always had to have a mirror on her desk to keep check on her appearance before greeting customers, and how she loved clowns and had a slew of them all over her office. She was a great lady whom I admired and respected a lot. She always helped when called upon and she made you laugh at just the right time. The last time I saw her she caught me making a phone call in the restroom. We laughed for about 5 minutes and then we parted. I miss her face. I know her pain must have been great and I hope that she left it all behind her, here on earth. I hope that her soul is finally at peace. I wish that I could have spoken with her before her going...just one more time!

Bernie-
There are so many things that I want to say to you.  You are the B in Beautiful. You are the R in Resilient.  You made me smile just by turning the corner.  It's soooo true that GOOD things come in small packages and you were the epitome of that sentiment.  I will miss looking forward to seeing your smile, getting a loving hug, and laughing about how your kids are already bigger than you.  (LOL)

@ the Rodriguez family....my prayers are that you will find solace in God's word and know that Bernie is in the arms of Jesus.  Seek comfort from the Holy Spirit and you will find that her absence is only physical.  God bless.

I can never look back on my time at Baylor and not remember Miss Bernadette with her cute smile, peppy little walk and a style all her own! This tragedy is something that I will never understand or forget.  You and your family have been and will continue to be in my daily prayers. I was blessed to have Natalie in my class.  She, like her mom always wore a smile on her face.  Bernadette was so helpful to me this year, whether it was attending field trips, or helping out during class parties.  She was a good mom to Natalie and Emily and the boys. It was always apparent through Natalie's zest for life and her loving and caring nature. May Bernadette rest in peace and may the Holy Spirt guide and comfort you and your family during this very difficult time.
