Bernard Lawrence Margason was born on September 25, 1927 to Bernie and Henrietta Margason in Merwin, Missouri. His first wife, Margaret Rose Margason preceded him in death. God graciously relieved all his pain and took him to be with Him in Mesquite, Texas on May 30th, 2016 at the age of 88.
Bernard is survived by his wife of 29 years, Janie Elora Margason, and his three sons, Brian, Kevin, and Dana Margason, as well as his sister Elouise Engel. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
He served for 24 years in the US Navy and retired at the rank of Commander. He was a faithful, loving, husband and father. He served as a Deacon in many Baptist Churches and was a faithful, lifetime Gideon.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Christian Care Center Chapel, 1000 Wiggins Pkwy, Mesquite, TX 75150. Military Funeral Honors and Interment will take place on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
